Alongside Green Day and The Offspring, Blink 182 were one of the leading lights of Cali's 1990s Punk revival. Their defining moment came with 1999's Enema of the State album, a big glossy slice of melodious pop punk which produced the singles 'All the Small Things', 'What's My Age Again' and 'Adam's Song'. Since then the band have continued to expand their sonic toolkit, delving into darkier and moodier territory on albums like Neighborhoods. Their new effort, California, is their first without long time frontman Tom DeLonge, but bassist Mark Hoppus has promised fans it's also a return to the band's early days of full-on energetic sing-alongs.
