Ballet West - Pictures at an Exhibition
A stunning set of performances
Why see Ballet West - Pictures at an Exhibition?
Excellent Choreography
Three polished works are on display with Ballet West, including the Utah premiere of two pieces by modern legends of the choreography world. Serenade by George Balanchine features, as well as Within the Golden Hour, a work that is somewhat of a Vivaldi-homage by Tony-winner Christopher Wheeldon.
Finally, the title piece of the evening is Alexei Ratmansky's Pictures at an Exhibition, which re-imagines dancers as priceless pieces of artwork. The score is provided by Modest Mussorgsky, and will be magnificently performed by the Ballet West Orchestra. Don't miss it!
