This summer the magical new musical The Nutty Professor will have its regional premiere at the Hale Centre Theatre. Based on the 1963 movie which starred the "King of Comedy" Jerry Lewis, the script has had new life breathed into it by Tony Award winner Rupert Holmes, and music by Tony and Oscar Award-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch. A toe-tapping romantic adventure that you won't want to miss!
What's it about?
Professor Kelp may be shy, but what he lacks in confidence he makes up for in scientific knowledge. He falls for a fellow teacher, a confident and sparkling woman with bounds of confidence. Utilising his mad science skills he crafts a magic tonic to transform himself into the ideal man, but will it solve all his problems?
